Tea Dances

Pre-engagement workshops and Tea Dances to people living with dementia

Overview

Move to the Music: Tea Dances

Following the success of the Move to the Music Tea Dances during our 2018-2019 season, 3 more Tea Dances were held in November 2019 in Belfast, Cookstown and Enniskillen for those over 65.

Professional dancers were on hand to encourage dancing to a variety of old-time and modern classics performed by an ensemble of Ulster Orchestra musicians, led by viola player Richard Guthrie.

637 people attended the events, and the Belfast Tea Dance was over-subscribed by 363 people.
