The Ulster Orchestra will be the featured orchestra on BBC Radio 3's Afternoon Concert on 3 programmes each day of the week beginning Monday 18 March 2019. The pieces featured are primarily recordings of recent Friday night concerts and feature conductors such as outgoing Artistic Director Rafael Payare, Principal Guest Conductor Jac van Steen and guests such as Olari Elts, Andrew Litton and Eivind Gullberg Jensen, while featured soloists include Steven Osborne, Ingrid Fliter and Baiba Skride.
