VISITORS TO OUR WEBSITE
When someone visits www.ulsterorchestra.org.uk we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

MAILING LISTS
As part of the registration process for our e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about items you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. TICKETING DATA
The Ulster Orchestra is resident at Belfast Waterfront/Ulster Hall (BW/UH). When you book your ticket for an Ulster Orchestra concert via BW/UH’s Box Office your data is passed to us. The Ulster Orchestra processes audience data for certain legitimate business purposes, in order to provide you with the best experiences and most relevant information about our activities as an Arts Charity.
We collect your name, address and electronic contact details (email and phone) and use the information about your booking patterns in order to ensure you have the information you need about similar future events and ticket offers.
USE OF DATA
If there is any important change to your booking, we will contact you. This information, alongside your purchase history, is used to select and inform you of other relevant events or activities we think may be of interest to you. If you do not want to receive information by post about events, offers or our fundraising activities, you have the option to change any of your contact preferences at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer at [email protected].
CONTACTING YOU BY EMAIL
If you have provided your email address when you purchased your ticket via BW/UH Box Office, from time to time we will send you recommendations and ticket offers by email for similar events run by the Ulster Orchestra. Should you wish not to receive this information you will be given the option to opt out when purchasing a ticket from BW/UH Box Office, and you will always have the option to unsubscribe from future emails from the Ulster Orchestra via a link at the bottom of the email. CONTACTING YOU BY TELEPHONE
If you have provided your telephone number when you purchased your ticket via BW/UH Box Office, we may use this to inform you of a cancelled or re-arranged performance.

If you have provided your postal address for marketing purposes when you purchased tickets via BW/UH Box Office, we will send you our Season Brochure each year. The Season Brochure contains information about Ulster Orchestra concerts as well as other activities such as Learning and Community Engagement, BBC and fundraising. FUNDRAISING
We maintain a separate database for donors and from time to time we will send you information by post about methods of giving. If you do not wish to receive this information, you can tell us directly by emailing [email protected] or calling the Ulster Orchestra office on 028 9023 9900.
Customers joining one of our fundraising membership schemes will receive information by email relating to methods of giving as well as events and activities which are paid-for benefits of the schemes.
SUBSCRIBERS
Customers purchasing a concert package through annual Subscription will receive additional benefits of information related to concert package renewals and information about new concerts.
THIRD PARTIES
The personal information that you give us will never be supplied to anyone outside the Ulster Orchestra. With agreement about data management protocols, we do share anonymised personal information with other organisations, particularly the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Belfast City Council and Thrive NI, who use this to analyse our audience development programmes, ticket sales and self-generated funding to understand the impact of the public investment made in the Ulster Orchestra.
