Celebrating, sustaining and nourishing a cherished cultural asset
Following the practice of other major orchestras, the Ulster Orchestra Foundation has been established as a registered charity whose purpose is to support and sustain the future development of the Ulster Orchestra for current and future generations. It has a clearly defined mission to assist the programme of work which the Orchestra delivers, including concerts, community outreach, musical education in schools and colleges, and taking music to the disadvantaged. The Foundation is committed to enriching the experiences of audiences, players, young musicians and our many friends through the wonderful music-making and outreach of the Ulster Orchestra. In common with all orchestras of similar standing, the Ulster Orchestra is dependent upon significant public funding and the invaluable support of its key partners and patrons. There is, however, a need to benefit from a considerable level of additional support from other sources, including the business world and philanthropic institutions and individuals. It is this additional funding that the Foundation is now seeking, and we are delighted that a number of leading companies and firms have already given their financial backing to the project. If you or your business would wish to support this exciting new initiative and would like more information, please contact us by email at [email protected] or by telephone 028 9026 0485.
