Join us for Musical Storyland Live! You’ve seen the shows on CBeebies, now you can see some of the stories live at Belfast Children’s Festival as musicians from the Ulster Orchestra and trumpeter Sean Chandler present interactive performances of The Enormous Turnip and The Three Billy Goats Gruff from the CBeebies series Musical Storyland.

These traditional stories will be brought to life through music in the Ireland premiere of this interactive show, with plenty of opportunities for audiences to join in singing and dancing.

With a different story each day, why not consider booking tickets for the whole weekend?

Suitable for babies and children up to the age of 7 and their families. All performances take place in a relaxed atmosphere and will be BSL signed. This event will last approximately 30 minutes, without an interval.

Saturday 8th March - The Enormous Turnip with Ulster Orchestra Brass ensemble
When the farmer and her daughter plant their last wrinkly seed, they don't have great expectations of a successful crop. But to their amazement, the seed grows into the most enormous turnip! It's so big that they need help from some passing animals to pull it up.

Sunday 9th March - Three Billy Goats Gruff with Ulster Orchestra String ensemble
A family of goats eats all the grass in their meadow and must go in search of fresh green grass. They discover a beautiful new meadow, but it’s on the other side of a squelchy mud stream. Little Billy Goat tries to cross the stream but wakes up a hungry, grumpy troll! Will the brothers make it across the bridge safely?
