BBC Radio Ulster/ Foyle is inviting listeners on to the dancefloor for a special broadcast event marking 25 years of the Celtronic electronic music festival.

The Celtronic Symphony will feature the Ulster Orchestra performing a selection of dance tracks from the festival’s 25 year history, including specially-arranged orchestrations of songs by Chic, Bicep, Primal Scream, Cosmos and many more.

Hosted by BBC Radio Ulster’s Stephen McCauley, this unique event will take place in Derry’s historic St Columb’s Hall on Friday 11 April, 2025.

Since its inception in 2001, Celtronic has brought the pioneers of underground electronic music and high profile DJs to the city and provided a showcase for great local talent.

The Celtronic Symphony is an independently run event. It will be recorded for future broadcast on BBC Radio Ulster/ Foyle and BBC Sounds.
